So,

I've always enjoyed playing with sound, creating melodies and harmonizing.
Up until a few summers ago (or so it seems, probably longer than that), I spent most of my time futzing with a playful little program called Fruity Loops. I still have massive respsect for that program, as simple as it is.

But then Marc introduced me to this wonderful program I'm sure many of you are familiar with, called Reason. And futz with it I do.

Here is a futzing: (o.g. Drizive is no longer hosted Crying or Very sad )

It's not really a piece so much as an arrangement of transitions between a loop, but it'll do for now. If you're curious as to some other futzings, I do believe there are some other dated loops in the same directory. "A Forest" is especially amusing. Enjoy.

Very chill, I love it.

I really need to get some new tables and start playing with electronic music again. Maybe you just inspired me to.

I dig it. It doesn't get old fast either.
It's catchy and chill. I could see it as the sound for
an animated montage of urban night photography or perhaps
for a 3D short involving underwater craft shaped like sea life.

Yes, more is in order.

Thank you all for your kind words.

I can't quite get the snare down to the way I want it, but it's a work in progress.
If you haven't recognized that tune before, it's a mash up of Incubus's very own "drive" -hence the title name. I merely broke it down, and tried my best to harmonize with it.

I believe I was listening to Sasha's Airdrawndagger at the time.

At Marc's suggestion, maybe a remix thread is in order? I spotted the audial shard thread the other day whilst browsing, and thought it was a very good idea, but I wasn't clear on how to approach it.

I thought the optical thread posted on the front page was excellent though. If something of the sort could be accomplished with an entire song, that would be groovy++

I'v been listening to drizive for a while now driving around in my car.
It's got that cool "what's going to happen next?" vibe that I like so much.

Hello.

Upon recent discovery by Air, drizive has been deleted from my school directory Sad
That's okay though, because I have a brand new revision to share!

It's more dancery and stuff. Or something.

You should probably have a subwoofer too.

Drizive (lo fi mix)
